Foyer Transformation
The balance of light, both natural and artificial, significantly affects the options for finish materials. Here, an original Talavera tile floor was light in color, but riddled with grout joints making a busy grid pattern. By opening the front doors to a pair of French multipaned, the daylight comes in and floods the area allowing for new large format dark porcelain tiles.
The transformation is simple yet dramatic.
