A Rich Remodel

A simple hall bath transformed into a warm, rich metallic enclosure. Existing flooring throughout the home was a 12×12 glazed pumpkin-colored tile. Having to work with that, as though intentionally selected for the color scheme, we selected a dark coppery-bronze metallic glazed tile. Taking it up to the ceiling on all walls, we used the tile as a complete wallcovering making the room appear larger, more finished and deliberate. Custom oak cabinets painted black allow the grain to read through. Sleek polished chrome cabinet pulls dress the faces as though with jewelry bling. Taking the mirror across the entire span of vanity wall reflects the rest of the room and window creating the illusion of a much larger space. By bisecting the wall, the metallic tile occurs below and above the mirror floor-to-ceiling. Handsome black granite slab further strengthens the color scheme of cooper sheen, black and rusty pumpkin of the floors.
