Almost a Garden Shower

Before & After Slideshow

An organic spa-like primary bath takes its lead from the guest bath we did earlier- setting the stage for a similar theme and use of materials with a little more oomph!! Working with clients who have decidedly creative spirits allows for freedom of expression and refined design with a touch of whimsy.

Successful in the guest bath, we continued the smooth black pebble stone floor which transitions from new LVT wood flooring used throughout the rest of the suite. A corner tub was replaced with a new shower enclosure without need for a door. A full length window to the sculpture garden and water feature beyond expands the space and offers a freeing sense of bathing outdoors. Glass mosaic tiles in circular shapes of various sizes of glass and stone evoke a feeling of bubbles wrapping the inside of the shower with abutting limestone tiles that cover remaining walls from floor to ceiling.

Two separate custom floating vanities flank either side of the room cantilevered from the limestone walls. Additional custom pieces provide two armoires and recessed shelving in the matching, darkened, knotty alder.

No need for a tub in this location with the new soaking tub in the upstairs guest bath.

The water closet was reconfigured for better access and privacy.

The result of this transformation is a handsome, warm, refreshing, retreat.
