Funky & Fun
This three-quarter guest bath had been slightly updated in the form of new tile in the shower. Because it appeared to be limited and confining, we suggested taking the same white field tile around three more walls of the room. There was not enough of the accent tile that they had previously selected to make the entire run and therefore we elected to go all white. The owners had found a new distressed cabinet, which they wanted to modify for the vanity. We selected a shallow surface-mounted vessel sink to sit atop the wood and a new faucet. The existing mirror was enhanced with a dark green paint color and adorned with hand-hammered beer bottle caps. The colorful collection of caps added interest and whimsy. We repainted the light fixture and splashed a bright yellow on the two remaining walls and topped it all off with a funky floral fabric valance. A new medicine cabinet was created to match the distressed vanity cabinet. The result is festive, functional, and fun!
